IBA MU cooperates with expert medical societies on many research projects and clinical registries. A research database of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is one of them; this project is guaranteed by the Czech Pneumological and Phthiseological Society of CzMA JEP (Czech Medical Association of J. E. Purkyne).
A recently published article in the International Journal of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (IF 2.732) belongs to important outputs of this relatively new project. The online version of the article includes a short video abstract that describes the project itself, its background, design and objectives. The video was created in a mutual cooperation between the University Hospital Hradec Kralove and IBA MU.

For the first time in history, the 16th MEFANET conference was held outside the Czech Republic in the Slovak Congress Hotel Centrum in Košice. The whole event was held in the spirit of artificial intelligence in medical education, virtual reality and there were also short presentations by regular participants about their improvement and modernization of teaching.
