Their work focused on the current topic of artificial intelligence in healthcare, specifically on how reliably selected chatbots can provide health information.

The authors compared commonly available AI tools with their own solution connected to a verified source—the National Health Information Portal (NZIP). While standard chatbots draw on a vast amount of data of varying quality, their system uses only content that has been professionally vetted. As part of the study, 11 experts evaluated the responses of various chatbots to dozens of questions about our health and the healthcare system, assessing them in terms of reliability, clarity, logic, and transparency.

The results showed that a specialized system connected to verified sources provides significantly more reliable information than general AI tools. The downside, for now, is reduced user-friendliness and greater technical complexity.
